My name is Jennifer and my life, to date, has been rewarding and interesting. I ran a business for 25 years, worked in Finance, graduated from UQ with an MBA, trekked in Nepal, studied French, travelled and made my sea change. I gained my Justice of the Peace license, joined Sunshine Coast Quota, a service organization and volunteer as a JP at the Old Post Office in Buderim. Friends tell me I am hyperactive, and they are probably right, but I would not change a thing.
As we age, I believe you need to have and do things in your life which fulfill you. I have three adult children and four Grandchildren, who I love spending time with. I spend my spare time walking, exercising, reading and of course travelling.
These things are all good but after retirement I felt something was missing. I thought about being a Celebrant and after discussions with close friends decided this is what I wanted to do. All my jobs have involved helping people and I love the idea of assisting couples, families and loved ones to plan their Ceremony.
After retirement, however, I felt something was missing. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do next, and after conversations with close friends, I knew: I wanted to become a Celebrant.
